In celebration of the Eiffel Tower’s 120th anniversary, an open contest was conducted to redesign any part of the tower’s public reception and access areas. Serero Architects won this competition by designing an extension of the tower’s top viewing floor. Read more about it here. And not to worry, it’s only temporary.
